18th C Chinese Porcelain Prunus Cracked Ice Ginger Jar
A classic Chinese Porcelain Prunus Ginger Jar with an ovoid body and high shoulders. It is decorated with a traditional prunus blossom motif on a cracked ice cobalt blue ground. The quality of painting is shown in the details of the branches and each blossom. It is marked with 2 blue rings which were used to mark pottery during the late Kangxi and continued to present day. Signs of age and other indicators date this jar to the 18th C.
The unglazed exterior of the mouth shows extensive signs of exposure. There is a small fissure on the interior of the mouth. There are several close-up pictures of foot rim and signs of age. Good condition for age.
Measures 5.5" tall and approximately 4,5" across the body with an approximate 2" diameter opening.
