This is a rare late Qinq mudman figurine in the distinctive red glaze with shades of green, grayish, and a cream color glaze revealed in the robe. As with all antique Shiwan mudman figures, the features are so finely detailed that his face is completely realistic, including the wrinkles of his forehead, lines under his eyes and wisps of hair around his face. If you are a collector of mudman figures, this is a must to add to your collection. This is the first I've found in hundreds of auctions, estate sales, and antique store visits.
The figurine is approximately 5.5" tall and 3.5" wide. There is no discernible damage. There is wear consistent with age and use, such as crazing and loss of glaze deterioration in some areas. "China" is incised on the bottom.
