This traditional-style ink and color on paper depicts a scene of daily life, which was a popular theme during the Joseon Dynasty. It is believed to be by Hyewon, which was the pen name of Shin Yun-bok. The vivid colors and realistic details are characteristic of Hyewon's work. Also, he was one of the few Korean painters of the time who deviated from the vast amount of open space left on the canvas. Hyewon's paintings were filled with color and life. Measures 15" by 20"

A rough translation of the inscription reads: "The yellow gold and vermilion jade branches are full with red persimmons. The leaves of trees are falling in tens of thousands."
