19th C Yellow Ground Chinese Porcelain Vase

This is a beautifully wucai decorated pomegranate form vase featuring elements of various motifs. There are the various color opposing dragons with the flaming pearl. Auspicious symbols of bats and peaches adorn the short neck, which is encircled with an intricately patterned border. The dragons are rising from waves on which the eight treasures float. There is an underglaze blue artemis leaf on the base.

The yellow ground varies in depth; some areas of the ground are very pale yellow while others are darker.

There is no structural damage to the vase except for a very small chip on the lip of the vase. There are tan lines staining the vase on the interior that can been seen on the exterior. The vase displays very well.

The vase is approximately 10.5 inches tall, 7 inches wide across the body, and the mouth has a diameter of approximately 5 inches
