Antique Canton Blue and White Porcelain
This landscape theme with the tea houses, willow trees, sailboats and mountains has been duplicated many times over in the Canton export ware. Here you have an older piece of excellent quality. This hand painted bowl is well preserved mainly showing signs of age and wear on the foot rim. There are a few rust spots within the decoration, but I only found these using a magnifier. The piece likely dates to late Qing period.
The bowl has a diameter of approximately 12 inches with a depth of a little less than 5.5 inches. There is one small nick that I found by running my finger along the upper rim. There is no obvious damage to the bowl. I took the pictures in varying levels of light and different angles to show the different perspectives created by changing settings.
