Antique Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jar - Guangxu Period
A classic antique ginger jar with an ovoid body and high shoulders. It is decorated with a traditional prunus blossom motif on a cobalt blue ground and artfully crafted with hand painted decor. This small jar can serve for functional use to hold herbs, such as ginger, but would likely make a better collector's piece or home decor accent. It is marked with 2 blue rings which were used to mark pottery during the late Kangxi and Guangxu periods. This jar dates to the late 1800's.
Measures 5" H x 5" across the body with a 2" diameter opening. There is no damage.
