Antique Imperial Carnival Glass - Open Rose Marigold
According to ddoty.com, Imperial was one of the major carnival glass producers in the US from approximately 1910 to 1930. The company resumed production in 1960 but was subsequently acquired by another company. The "Rose" pattern, seen here in Open Rose, is one of the earliest Imperial patterns. Based on my research, this piece dates to 1910 to 1920. This is supported not only by the pattern but also by the lack of a date. All later Imperial pieces were marked, while most early pieces were not.
Measures 10" diameter and appr. 4" depth. There is no damage and the bowl is in excellent condition.
The bowl is pictured in varying degrees of lighting to demonstrate how lighting impacts the coloring and iridescence as well as capture the details of the pattern.
