This is a fine example of a Crackle Glaze Blue and White Porcelain Bowl produced in the Annam province of China during the Ming Dynasty. It has swirling scroll border surrounding a floral design on the interior. The exterior is decorated to look like a flower. The reddish brown base is typical of Annamese porcelain. The bowl dates to the 15th/16th century and was produced in what is present-day Vietnam. Please see Koh-Antique for a reference and comparison. Valuation completed by PL Combs.
The bowl is in good condition with some glaze deterioration, as should be expected due to age. The diameter is 5.5 inches.
Acquired from the collection of Maria Worthington of Northern Virginia.
