Hand Painted Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Vase
This is an unusually decorated vase shaped like a pitcher. It has a continuous motif of trellises, grapes and vines, and melons interspersed among the flowers typically seen on Chinese porcelain. This is a rare hand painted combination that works to make a delightfully decorative home accent piece.
There is a small chip on the upper lip and a couple of iron spots in the glaze. The vase is thought to be mid to late 20th century, but the actual age is unknown. The inside is fully glaze and does show evidence of use. There is a mark on the base.
The vase is approximately 7.5 inches tall, with a mouth that is 5.5 inches at the widest point. The base measures approximately 4.5 inches.
