Palekh Russian Lacquer Box

This is a Palekh Russian Lacquer Box that depicts a winter scene of a horse-drawn carriage among greenery, surrounded by a gold scrolling border. The signature is clearly written in gold.  The date cannot be discerned. The inside lacquer is a rich red color.  There is no damage but there are signs of age.

The measurements are 7 inches x 2.5 inches.
