Vintage Russian Inlaid Wood Music Box

Beautiful lacquered wood inlaid with various geometric designs around the edges of the top with an intricate foliage motif as the focal point. This box dates the mid 19th century or earlier. It is unlined and shows signs of age, with a thin crack in the lacquer of the lid (hard to capture in pictures). The box has metal hinges connecting lid, no other hardware as the box has finger joints.  The music box is still functional and plays after winding.
