This 19th C Famille Rose Washbasin with Woman and Boys is uniquely decorated. There is a stage scene with a woman and boy in the center. the surrounding motif is of more boys playing with a landscape theme in the background. The rim border is flowers and vines and the exterior is decorated with iron red bamboo shoots.
The basin is in good condition. The enamel is worn, especially the faces of the characters at the bottom of the interior. This is common with utilitarian wares of the period.
The basin has an approximate 11.5 inch diameter and a depth of 4 inches.
