This antique Guan Yin Porcelain Statue depicts the merciful goddess standing on a pedestal surrounded by lotus flowers and other foliage. She is also holding another symbolic flower in her right hand. There is a 4 character red mark on the base. The exact age is unknown but believed to be late Qing to early Republic.
There are definite signs of age. The statue has broken fingers on her left hand and chipping on the robes and flowers. The gold trim is worn on the robe and over the entire piece. There is also some loss of enamel to the hair.
The statue is large, measuring approximately 19 inches tall.
