1950s Famille Rose Porcelain Vase
This is a nicely painted famille rose vase produced in the 1950s to 1960s. The scene depicts a scholar surrounded by books and being attended to by a woman and boys. The features of the figures are well defined and detailed and the colors are vivid and nicely shaded. The vase has as a drill hole in the base through a stamped red seal. There is also a seal mark on the verso and China is stamped on the base. Other than the drill hole, the vase is in excellent condition.
Excellent condition. Few signs of wear to the foot rim. Measures approximately 13.5" tall, 5" wide, and has a 3.75" diameter opening.
