Here is an unusual example of a deep blue ground Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl decorated with the lotus scroll or, as noted on the Watersilkdragon site, Bao Xiang Hua pattern. Four bats, four shou symbols, and four stylized flowers surround and central bloom on the interior of the bowl, while the exterior is unadorned. There is a four character mark in red on the base.
The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage and very little wear to the enamel. It is thinly potted and light weight for a 19th C piece.
The bowl has a diameter that is slightly more than 8 inches and its height is approximately 2.25 inches.
