This Chinese Carved Jadeite Fish sits upon a fitted carved wood base. The jade varies in color from a pale green, almost white, to the vivid translucent green of the small lily pad beneath the fish's head. The wood stand has "China" carved on the underside.
The jade fish is in excellent condition, with wear consistent with age. There are some chips and nicks to the wood base. This is likely why the base of the fish is in such good condition.
