Japanese Yamatoku Tea Cup and Saucer
Lovely transfer ware porcelain with Yamatoku mark and artist's signature dating to the late Taisho to early Showa period. The intricately detailed floral motif decoration is interspersed with gilded vines. The black and gold outer design contrast with the red and pink in the inner design in a way that makes the saucer look like a flower with pure white pistal surrounded by multicolored petals.
Both the cup and saucer are in good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
